Back to School with Outlook Live
Already Oxford Computer Group is getting ready to go "back to school"! With the release of Outlook Live this spring, universities and colleges previously on Microsoft's Live@edu on Exchange Labs are able to benefit from significant upgrades to their accounts.
Outlook Live is Microsoft's hosted email and collaboration solution for education providers, giving staff, students and alumni the best-in-class features and functionality of Microsoft's Exchange server with the ease and convenience of online hosted email. It also includes Office Live Workspace for online document access and collaboration, Windows Live Messenger for near instant messaging and SkyDrive - giving 25 GB of online data storage. The solution has proved popular. Not only does it provide valuable tools to its users, but it also simplifies email administration, reduces costs and frees up IT resources to work on other projects. And in addition the new Outlook Live platform comes free with ILM 2007, Microsoft's proven platform for identity and access management.
As always with a new release, OCG are here to help. Since January we have deployed Outlook Live for over 15 universities; including Ohio State University, University of TX at Tyler, University of Cincinnati, University of Massachusetts Boston, Ohio University, The Robert Gordon University and University of the West of England. We've also helped over a dozen other schools upgrade from Live@edu to Outlook Live.
