Overview
The Windows Live @ edu program utilizes the MSN framework to provide free email, instant and mobile messaging, and collaborative services to students and alumni of accredited colleges and universities, featuring a custom domain selected by your institution. The Windows Live@edu program uses Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager (ILM) 2007 (formerly Microsoft Identity Integration Server (MIIS) 2003) to provide the connection between your institution’s authoritative student and alumni information and its MSN-based messaging platform. “QuickStart” Package
OCG offers a “QuickStart” package for schools looking to simply provide students with free email accounts under the Windows Live@edu program. For a fixed fee, we will install ILM/MIIS and provision your Windows Live@edu accounts from your school’s existing student data store, and will also include three free months of Silver-level maintenance and support services.
Identity Package
Windows Live@edu requires Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager (ILM) 2007 as part of its installation. For institutions looking to take advantage of the full scope of identity and access management solutions that ILM can provide, OCG offers a fixed price, two-week complete identity and access management framework that includes Windows Live@edu as well as the core infrastructure to support identity management services throughout your institution. The Identity Package also includes three free months of Gold-level maintenance and support services.
