IDA Strategic Engagements

OCG's consultants don't just deploy great identity and access (IDA) solutions. They also carry out strategic IDA reviews for clients where they identify and assess current IDA architecture and processes and make recommendations for the future. These might include, business justification, requirements gathering, recommendations for future architecture, technical design or project planning. These engagements can either be designed around your specific requirements, or can follow our standard strategic review methodology, outlined below:

Phase 1 - Requirements gathering/deliverable framework
This first phase comprises the initial familiarization of our consultant with your environment and the production of an agreed framework for the final deliverable document.

Phase 2 - High-level Production
This phase concentrates on fleshing out the deliverable document through the documentation of existing systems and processes, capturing the technical details of existing identity-aware systems, categorizing requirements, and the first iteration of a high-level design. The first draft of the final document is delivered at the end of this phase to give an early indication of how the final deliverable might look.

Phase 3 - Refinement and Deep Design
By this phase requirements are gathered and well understood, existing systems and processes documented and both high-level strategy and deeper technical design (if required) are underway. Initial assessment of options is being carried out and initial estimates of costs for subsequent projects being considered. A second draft of the final deliverable is released. The document is usually nearly complete by now, but still has the flexibility for significant changes to be incorporated, if necessary.

Phase 4 - Delivery
The final phase is focussed on the refinement of the deliverable document, the delivery of the document and the communication of the strategy to interested parties.
