Overview
The Outlook Live program provides free email, instant and mobile messaging and collaborative services to students and alumni of accredited colleges and universities, all using a custom domain selected by your institution.

Outlook Live uses Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager (ILM) 2007 to provide the connection between your authoritative student and alumni information and its messaging platform. You can learn more about the program and the benefits it provides by visiting get.liveatedu.com/Education/.

Outlook Live “QuickStart” Package
OCG offers a “QuickStart” package for organizations who simply want to provide students with free email accounts under the Outlook Live program. For a fixed fee, we will install ILM and provision your Outlook Live accounts from your existing student data store. We’ll also include training and documentation to provision/de-provision accounts and three months of Campus Level maintenance and support.

From this we can then extend the solution, implementing OCG components and providing custom services. Our pre-built components include:

PCNS (Password Change Notification System) for Outlook Live
PCNS updates the Outlook Live password whenever the AD password is updated. Enabling PCNS reduces the administration costs associated with creating, managing, and updating passwords. Students will not be required to know their initial Outlook Live password and admin can manage and reset passwords using AD password management tools.

SSO SLT SDK (Single Sign-On Short-Lived Token Software Development Kit) for Outlook Live 
Enabling SSO SLT SDK improves the user experience and reduces support calls by allowing students to log into your on-premise portal and browse their Outlook Live mailbox without having to resubmit their password.

Group Populator
Group Populator allows you to manage groups using the group types available in AD (local, global, universal, security, and distribution). Groups are created and maintained in an on-premise Active Directory rather than in Outlook Live to allow universities to maintain groups in a manner consistent with the government compliance requirements that exist in some countries.

Identity Package 
Outlook Live requires Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager (ILM) 2007 as part of its installation and is included in the service. This presents a fabulous opportunity to capitalize on the full identity and access management capabilities of ILM. OCG offers a fixed price, two-week engagement to create an identity and access management framework that includes Outlook Live as well as the core infrastructure to support identity management services throughout your organization.
