Oxford Computer Group - Identity & Access (IDA) Workshops

Honed through the process of repeated delivery, we now have two IDA workshop offerings. One is aimed at providing an understanding of identity and access and the key issues to consider so that a strategy can be formed. The second is about the nitty-gritty detail of business processes, functional requirements and technologies and enables a detailed plan to be created. Both deliver valuable results and almost every project we undertake starts with a workshop.

In addition our latest workshop is to focus on organisation looking at authentication requirements and in particular strong authentication solutions. Strong Authentication Workshop

Identity & Access Envision Workshop

This can be as little as a half-day, on-site workshop or form the start of a longer strategic engagement. During this time we conduct presentations, facilitate brainstorming and lead group discussions to explain concepts and gather requirements.

The objectives are:
  • To impart an understanding of the business issues that solutions for identity and access address.
  • To identify the organisations identity and access issues and to prioritise by means of a high-level cost benefit analysis.
  • To understand the IT environment in which solutions for identity and access will need to be implemented.
Following the workshop we compile the findings into a brief report highlighting the major issues identified, a high level roadmap and suggestions as to how to move forward. This is then discussed with the main project sponsor and any follow up actions agreed.
Identity & Access Engagement Discovery Workshop

Solutions for identity and access typically affect a large number of interested parties. Experience shows that running a workshop early on in the engagement is a very effective means of eliciting and sharing information, which pays dividends later in the project.

This technology focussed workshop is aimed at a technical and business audience and is typically made up of a number of sessions of about 2 days duration but may be more, depending on the project. The workshop provides a clear understanding and assessment of the requirements. The value for you is education, expert guidance and a set of deliverables which provide the business case and plan for moving forward.

The output from this workshop is compiled into a number of planning and design documents including:
  • Vision Statement and Solution Objectives.
  • Project Plan and Scope.
  • Identification of areas where further information is required.
  • Training needs.
  • Accurate budgetary estimates.
