We run a number of training courses for Microsoft-based Identity & Access technologies, including ILM 2007 (MIIS 2003), ADLDS/ADAM and ADFS. All courses were at least partly authored by us (if not completely) and some of them are available exclusively through us and our training partners, such as SQLSoft+.
We have trained over 3000 people in numerous global locations, and continually update our courses to take account of the experience we gain on projects, as well as changes to the products concerned. These courses are usually instructor-led, traditional training courses. (We find that for this level of course, the interaction that can take place in a real environment is hard to reproduce in a virtual environment.)

This course is designed for IT professionals who need to develop a thorough understanding of the way in which federation can be used to resolve typical inter-security realm resource access problems. The business drivers for federation are first explored before installing and configuring Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) in a variety of configurations.

This is a very thorough course that not only covers the whys and hows of ADAM, but as ADAM is essentially “Active Directory Lite” provides insights into Active Directory that other courses do not cover. This is a must for anyone deploying ADAM, but is also highly desirable to complete the skills set of even the most hardened Active Directory professionals.

Designing, Deploying and Managing MIIS 2003 (4 days)
Note: MIIS 2003 has been combined with Certificate Lifecycle Manager under the brand ILM 2007. Where we use the term “MIIS 2003”, we are referring to that component of ILM 2007 that used to be called MIIS 2003.
This course (Microsoft course number 2731) provides a thorough grounding in MIIS 2003, how it works and what it can do. Topics include identity management and metadirectory concepts, management agents and data flow, extending MIIS through WMI and .DLLs, provisioning, working with Active Directory (and ADAM), installing and maintaining MIIS (including security and high availability).

This course is intended for the MIIS architect, implementer or developer who is familiar with basic MIIS implementation (and must have attended the MS-2731, or gained equivalent knowledge). They will have broad experience in MIIS-related infrastructure technologies (like LDAP, Windows 200X, AD, SQL Server, Exchange, etc.) as well as an understanding of the .NET framework, some familiarity with the Visual Studio .NET environment and more than a passing acquaintance with Visual Basic .NET.
